Sean has been a practising Orthotist and Prosthetist since 2005. Qualifying in South Africa, he trained and worked in both Public and Private Healthcare before opening 2 private practices in his home town. These ran successfully for 3 years before accepting a great opportunity to work in the United Kingdom.

Working in the NHS for just under 6 years as a senior specialist orthotist, he was exposed to new technologies in both Orthotics and Prosthetics on a frequent basis. Now, specialising in Carbon Composite Orthotic devices, Sean is always learning and looking for new and better treatment methods in both disciplines.

Following this experience with the NHS, an opportunity presented itself to work with Thuasne, a world leader in composite devices. He accepted a role as Clinical Director for Thuasne UK in October 2021.

Sean quotes himself as being: ‘Caring, Compassionate and Mindful. Nothing is too much, there is always more that can be done to help or improve.’

‘The world we live in is advancing rapidly, continuously. The provision of Orthotics and Prosthetics worldwide does not correspond to the advances made in the industry. There is so much more available that should be the ‘Gold Standard’. I aim to get a better product to more people, which will impact their lives tremendously and raise the standard in the industry.’
